The Arnold Classic UK 2024 was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, with unexpected twists and turns keeping fans on the edge of their seats. One of the most anticipated showdowns was the rematch between Hadi Choopan and Samson Dauda. And the Persian Wolf won his second Arnold Classic title in just two weeks.
Despite the efforts, there was some uncertainty loomed over both athletes. Choopan faced visa hurdles, with approval coming just a day before the competition. Meanwhile, Samson Dauda battled health concerns, only receiving a clean bill of health shortly before hitting the stage.
Despite the challenges, the Men’s Open Bodybuilding event delivered the goods. Competing on home turf, Samson Dauda showcased improvements from his previous performance in Columbus, Ohio. However, it was Hadi Choopan who ultimately emerged victorious, showcasing his signature striated physique and undeniable mass.

An Instagram account with the username, Fernando Arroyo, took to their Instagram to share the incredible winning moment of Choopan. Choopan, with his size and stature, executed a high jump that nobody could have expected from him. His impressive leap captured everyone’s attention, reminiscent of his victory celebration at the Arnold Classic Ohio, where he lifted the Nigerian Lion.
For Hadi Choopan, the win marks another feather in his cap as a two-time Arnold champion. With his sights set on reclaiming the Mr. Olympia title later this year, he remains a force to be reckoned with in the bodybuilding world.
While Samson Dauda gave it his all, his efforts fell short against the formidable presence of Hadi Choopan. Nevertheless, Choopan’s fans are eagerly comparing his jump to how characters jump in video games.
Fans compare Hadi Choopan’s winning moment to ‘Mario’
Fans were surprised to see the fact that a man of his size could effortlessly jump so high, with one fan writing, “That’s a big dude to be jumping that high.” Fans drew comparisons by saying Choopan’s right leg appears to be in pain after doing a jump that looks similar to the jumps made by Mario in the video game. “Right leg looks hurt from that Mario Bros jump,” remarked one. “Mario’s jump,” simply wrote another user driving in the notion that Chooapn’s jump was exactly like that.
