Katherine Schwarzenegger, the eldest child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, is an activist in her own right. While many know of Katherine’s passion for animals and childcare, in her latest post, the 33-year-old spoke about a disease that can affect anyone. She took some time out of her busy podcast production schedule to write about skin cancer.
Chris Pratt’s wife posted a selfie that showed what looked like freckles on her cheeks. However, the first daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that it was a skin disease called melasma. After revealing the fact that she has battled a skin disease that can become a lifelong issue, Alzheimer’s activist Maria Shriver’s daughter reminded everyone that May is a special month.
“This is your friendly reminder that May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and getting your body checked once a year can be life-saving,“ said Schwarzenegger. “I know I always talk about the benefits of SPF, the importance of big hats, and my melasma journey, but it’s so much more than that,“ added Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s daughter.

However, Katherine Schwarzenegger didn’t just tell people to put on some sunscreen. “Prioritizing your health is vital. Take care of your body! It’s yours for life,“ wrote the mother of two. Katherine’s post comes during a time when her mother and ex-wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver, has been making strides in her war against Alzheimer’s.
Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger recently appeared on Shark Tank and even secured investment for their company, MOSH bars. Shriver and Schwarzenegger co-founded MOSH to help raise awareness about the incurable brain disease. They also donate part of the profits to Alzheimer’s research.
Shriver and her children are using their fame for good causes. Meanwhile, Arnold Schwarzenegger is getting ready for his own annual Climate Summit.
