Sergio Oliva’s name comes on the list of a few athletes who were able to defeat the most influential bodybuilder of all time in his era and even to this date. Oliva landed a victory over the seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger at the 1969 Olympia, marking Arnie’s debut with a loss at the Olympia.

Recently, the sons of these legends, Sergio Oliva Jr. and Joseph Baena, were seen having a workout session together. They had an arms session at the Ironberg gym in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Let us see how the youngsters went about their session.

Oliva Jr. shared a series of pictures and gym clips with Baena on his Instagram account in which they were seen performing variations of bicep curls. Despite their parents’ rivalry, they both get along well. In the pictures shared, one could see how they had a great time working out together. Adding humor to the setting, Oliva Jr. captioned the post, “Besides our parents, I think Ben & Joe would’ve got the biggest kick out of watching this workout.”

Oliva Jr. further highlighted how both of them are on different journeys but are still able to relate to each other. Oliva Jr. is an IFBB Pro bodybuilder in the men’s open division, just like his father. On the other hand, Baena is not a pro bodybuilder but is serious about working out like other bodybuilders. Oliva Jr. added, “Even tho our fitness paths are different, it was really cool to train and hangout with someone you can relate to on a really rare level.”

In his late 60s, Oliva confessed the secret behind overpowering Arnie. “The only one who came close to me was Arnold, and he was only 19. My arms were so big that they were bigger than my head. I was the only one, cold.” But the Terminator took this seriously and made his comeback in the 1970 Olympia, dethroning Oliva with his 22-inch arms.
