Five-time Classic Physique champion Chris Bumstead can now call himself a father. Although CBum and his fiance Courtney King haven’t introduced “baby Bum” to their over 25 million strong fanbase, they’ve already started posting about their firstborn. The King of Classic physique hilariously announced that he wouldn’t let his daughter become as lazy as he was as a baby.

The modern-day bodybuilding icon even shared a picture of himself from 1995. “We’re going to have to teach our baby to not be as lazy as I was smh,” wrote CBum. However, the first photograph of the post didn’t feature his newborn daughter, but a mirror selfie of himself and King days before she gave birth. The baby in the second picture is Bumstead himself.

The second picture showed the dominant Classic Physique Olympia champion as a delicate newborn. The then-newborn baby was tightly wrapped in a towel. However, the caption for the second picture made the post even more hilarious than the first caption. “Me in 1995 wasting time resting instead of training arms,” confessed Bumstead.

The post was a hilarious exaggeration of how the new parents plan to raise their daughter. However, it seems the champion bodybuilders have planned an active lifestyle for their kid as she grows. Chris Bumstead himself was into sports growing up. While he may have started bodybuilding later in life, Cbum played sports like basketball, skiing, and snowboarding.

Courtney King was also into fitness from a young age. While she retired from competitive bodybuilding in her early twenties, the bodybuilder won the 2016 Bikini Ms. Olympia title. So, it looks like the baby will have no shortage of inspiration for pursuing sports and fitness growing up. However, Chris Bumstead won’t pressure his daughter to do something she doesn’t want.

Chris Bumstead wants to be a supportive dad

In their most recent Q&A, Chris Bumstead and Courtney King answered several fan questions. During the session, the parent explained they would support their daughter’s decisions even if she doesn’t want to be passionate about sports. Despite being champion bodybuilders, CBum and King confessed to not wanting his daughter to follow in her father or mother’s footsteps.

However, if she gets inspired by them to get into bodybuilding, they will support her. “We can teach her how to do it healthy, but we will not encourage her,” said Chris Bumstead. Cbum and King said this because professional bodybuilding involves ste***ds. However, the bodybuilding champion said he would like his daughter to get into powerlifting, gymnastics, and tennis.
