Chris Bumstead and his fiancée, Courtney King, welcomed their child into the world on April 22, 2024. However, Bradley Shay Bumstead ran into her first health issue before turning two weeks old. Earlier, the five-time Classic Physique Olympia’s daughter had to undergo a surgical procedure. Thankfully, everything went smoothly for CBum and King’s daughter.
Courtney King has kept fans updated about her post-pregnancy joys and challenges. She posted a positive update regarding her child’s successful procedure on Instagram. “My sweet little love is feeling much better since her tongue and lip tie procedure,” posted the happy mother. “Thank you, everyone, who sent loving & supportive messages so appreciate it!” added the bodybuilding icon’s fiancée.
As Chris Bumstead and Courtney King faced their first challenge as parents, their fans reached out to King. “I can’t believe how many moms have reached out,” to assure her about the minor surgery her child went through. They spoke from experience about the procedure positively impacting their babies’ long-term health.

They “said how greatly this helped their child’s overall health & their breastfeeding journey!” wrote King. “She still is trying to figure out how to work her mouth & tongue,” added the former Ms. Olympia. However, the fiancée of Chris Bumstead is confident that Bradley Shay Bumstead will get the hang of it as she has no other complications.
Courtney King has continued to post further updates on her Instagram story. Meanwhile, Chris Bumstead has been beside King and even featured in one of her stories. Although CBum is getting ready to face a new challenger to his Classic Physique throne, he hasn’t left his fiancée and daughter’s side.

Chris Bumstead must face a challenger who keeps improving
While the new dad is focusing on his family, he is also getting ready to fend off new challenger Wesley Vissers at the upcoming Olympia. Wesley Vissers impressed fans yet again while guest posing at an NPC bodybuilding show. The Dutch Oak looked incredibly muscular for a Classic Physique athlete. Although he is currently in the off-season, Vissers looked conditioned as well. Fans also noticed that the Dutchman had improved his lower-body muscularity, especially his hamstrings and quad width.
So now that Chris Bumstead and Courtney King’s daughter have no further complications, he’ll be able to focus solely on defending his Classic Physique title against Vissers. It’s also important to note that perennial challengers Ramon Dino and Urs Kalecinski should not be counted out either.
