After fans repeatedly demanded Baena to drop a fitness program, the 26-year-old obliged his fans. Baena dropped his program days after his father issued a fitness challenge for his newsletter subscribers.
Arnold Schwarzenegger gave his 600,000 village members the Finish Strong workout challenge. The fitness challenge aimed to help his village members set the momentum to achieve their fitness goals in 2024. He also offered three random members who would complete the Finish Strong challenge $1000 in cash. Now, Baena is following his father to help others meet their fitness goals in 2024.

Unlike the average gymgoer, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son has the privilege of learning about bodybuilding from the likes of his father, Mike O’Hearn, and many others. Hence, Baena sculpted the training program “with teachings from bodybuilding champions, athletes, and personal trial & error.” The 26-year-old added, “This has been the bedrock of my training and physique.”
Another perk of the training program is that it’s short. The four-week program focuses on building muscle and strength. Those who will opt for it would have to workout four to six days a week. Besides following the standard push-pull-legs format, the program also included upper and lower body splits and rotates between the two approaches.
Keeping the program short also means that it’s likely that more people would compete with it. The 26-year-old also didn’t miss any details as he announced that people could track their progress through a dedicated app. The Fundamentals training program marks a new milestone in Baena’s diverse career.

With the launch of his training program, Joseph Baena can also add ‘fitness trainer’ to his ever-growing resume. Baena got inspired to pursue bodybuilding after his father gifted him The Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. Reading his father’s book ignited a passion that culminated in Baena launching his first fitness program.
Besides bodybuilding and helping others get fitter, the 26-year-old has followed his father’s footsteps to Hollywood. In 2024, Baena will star in multiple films. He has even grabbed a role in a film starring Morgan Freeman and Luke Hemsworth.
