After setting records as a bodybuilder, Arnold Schwarzenegger transitioned to acting. After over a decade of dominating the box office, Schwarzenegger stepped away. Now the 75-year-old is back with a bang. While Chirs Hemsworth’s Extraction 2 has dethroned Arnie’s FUBAR for the Netflix most watched list’s top spot, his show still occupies the third spot. Additionally, the Austrian Oak’s docuseries, Arnold, also cracked the top 10. Hence, Netflix sent their Chief Action Officer a gift.
Schwarzenegger made a huge splash on the internet with a series of advertisements for Netflix. He became the streaming giant’s Chief Action Officer, scrutinized an action sequence from Chris Hemswroth’s Extraction 2, and even teamed up with the Australian actor for another viral ad. Since he was unsure what Netflix had sent him, Arnie used the $10,000 prop from his iconic 80s film to test it out.

Arnold Schwarzenegger conducts an action-packed test
In his latest Instagram video, the bodybuilding legend stood behind what seemed like a half-bust status of himself. He wore an apron over his white shirt and a red tie. A Netflix logo was plastered on the wall behind him. “Since I’m the Chief Action Officer Netflix gave me this wonderful sculpture as a gift,” said the seven-time Mr. Olympia.
The half-bust model of Arnold had a frown on its face. However, despite calling it a sculpture, Schwarzenegger wasn’t sure. “Is it sculpture? Or maybe it is cake?” Arnie said in the video. Schwarzenegger’s dilemma was shortlived because he asked for the “sword” from someone off-camera. The next moment, the 75-year-old was holding the iconic broadsword from Conan the Barbarian.

To test out if it was a cake or a stone sculpture, Arnie swung his sword, hitting the shoulder of the model. However, the incredibly detailed model turned out to be a cake and not a sculpture. “Cake!” exclaimed the Terminator actor after his examination and kissed the cake. even decades after Conan the Barbarian was released, the former Mr. Universe has held onto the $10,000 swords from the movie. In fact, the prop holds a special place in Arnie’s heart.
The bodybuilding icon’s favorite memento
Conan the Barbarian is a milestone for Arnold Schwarzenegger. The 1982 movie became a breakout hit that launched his career. The intense physicality he displayed in the film helped him land a role in The Terminator (1984), and the rest is history. While filming for Conan, Arnie developed an attachment to the iconic swords.

Three words were used while filming the movie. Unlike other props, each $10,000 sword was real, and since they had to look worn out, Arnie trained with them regularly for three months. He also learned swordplay from Kiyoshi Yamazaki. Hence, it’s no surprise that even at 75, Schwarzenegger has held on to one of them and finds an excuse to use them as often as he can, just like in his lastest video.
