However, it looks like fitness coach Marc Lobliner has a better alternative to the traditional workout. According to him, the unilateral lat pull-down is far more efficient than going about it the normal way. Here’s why he thinks they are best to build a V-tapered back.

Marc Lobliner highlights the importance of maximized contraction

Marc Lobliner recently took to his official Instagram account and shared snippets from his back workout routine. In the video, he was seen pulling off a set of unilateral lat pulldowns. Pointing out the efficiency of the workout, he wrote, I’m done doing normal lat pulldowns… Well, at least when the unilateral lat pulldown is available.”

Elaborating on his statement, he went on to state that the ability to go through a full range of motion while rotating the arms, with the maximum contraction helps in enhancing the back workouts. It also builds up a better muscle-mind connection. He even humorously advises his followers to try it out.

Lobliner wrote, You should try it. But not everyone or else I’ll never be able to get a set in on it.”

He has time and again influenced his followers to perform workouts the right way. The fitness coach once even advocated Dorian Yates and highlighted the importance of progressive overload.

Marc Lobliner shows the right path to get good gains

Marc Lobliner once shared a video of himself in the Panatta machine getting his biceps all pumped up. Using the video as an example, he went on to state how it is utterly important to consistently lift hard and progressively overload. This is when you are looking forward to having good gains because if you keep lifting heavy, the results will eventually come around.

He wrote, You can optimize these gains of course, but most people can’t even be consistent and still worry about RIR, TUT, and other acronyms.” His basic point was the fact that athletes should always go forward and lift weights rather than find an excuse not to. After all, the end goal is, going through a visible transformation!
