In a recent interview, Coleman revealed that he wasn’t initially aware of the importance of a high-calorie diet. He thought lifting heavy weights alone would do enough to build a monstrous physique. However, his perspective changed after winning his first Olympia title.

Ronnie Coleman realized that eating a substantial amount of food was an essential factor in achieving an extraordinary physique. In the snippet of his interview, he expressed his perspective on eating heavily to gain huge muscles, which was shared by the Muscle Mind Media page on their Instagram page.

Coleman emphasized, “You got to eat a lot of protein, and that’s why I ate 600 grams a day.” He believes that stuffing oneself with food is essential for anyone aspiring to get big and muscular. Consuming 600 grams of protein per day requires dedication and a good nutrition plan. Protein is a vital nutrient for muscle repair and growth, and Coleman’s high intake reflects the intensity of his training and the demands of his bodybuilding career.

According to him, there’s no shortcut. The only way to achieve significant muscle growth is through a disciplined and substantial dietary approach. Coleman’s advice is crystal clear: “To get big, you’ve to eat big”. He emphasized the importance of a balanced and protein-rich diet alongside intense training. In a throwback video, he revealed how his nutritionist forced him to eat more to get the desired result.

The 59-year-old bodybuilding beast shared in an old video how he used to spend a whopping ten thousand dollars on his meals. Even with such a massive food budget, his nutritionist advised him to eat even more to achieve his super giant physique. Despite already eating, six times a day, Coleman was told he needed to increase his intake.

His nutritionist suggested adding 4 or 5 more ounces to each meal. Although following this advice helped him bulk up, he admitted that it was tough to eat so much food, but he did it anyway. Despite juggling his job and bodybuilding at the time, Coleman had to wake up in the middle of the night to complete his meal quota.
