If you are one of those people who likes to scroll through social media for fitness inspiration, chances are that you must be already aware of who Vladimir Shmondenko is. Famously known as Anatoly, the powerlifter gained attention and a huge following all of a sudden due to his insane lifts that he performs in a janitor’s outfit to fool fellow gym-goers and the bodybuilding community.

Apart from unbelievable strength, Shmondenko also carries a ripped and aesthetic physique, which is a result of years of working out. As Anatoly recently posted his chest workout on his Instagram, let’s take a look at what the powerlifter relies on to train his pecs.

Posting a picture of him followed by clips of various chest movements, he revealed his typical chest day exercises. He starts fresh with a flat bench press after properly warming up. Using chains helps the powerlifter achieve an additional load. Followed by this, he hops on to the second movement which is an incline dumbbell press with one arm. Explaining the reason behind doing it with one arm, Vladimir points out that this helps with stabilizing the muscles better.

Next in line for his chest training was dips on parallel bars. Vladimir performs this using additional weight to make the movement more challenging. The video saw Anatoly doing dips with plates tied around his waist using chains. The next exercise that Schmondenko tried on was the basic pushups. However, tweaking it a bit to make it much more efficient, he performed those with the additional weight, with a dropset.

While the workout he has done so far may be enough for a new or intermediate lifter, the 24-year-old Ukranian bodybuilder was just getting started. He continued his workout with his favorite calisthenic pushups, consisting of a combination of front and back clap pushups. After performing two hard sets of the movement, he concluded his workout with Svend press, which he believes is the best for chest pumps.
