Fitness influencer extraordinaire Sam Sulek has become the idol of every young kid. Loved by his fans for his no-nonsense comments, Sulek called out people who are addicted to video games. The 21-year-old called out kids who spend hours upon hours playing games on their PC. While these kids also often desire to achieve a good physique, their addiction prevents them. While Sulek said, “I’m just pointing out some numbers,” his explanation might have put things into perspective for countless kids putting thousands of hours into video games.

Videogame addiction creeps up on you

“I have never gotten more than three days without a lift. And that’s excessive,” said Sulek in a clip uploaded by the fan page Sam Sulek Energy. The 21-year-old explained that he didn’t even remember the last time he went two days without lifting in the gym. The fitness influencer calculated that even after generously discounting days, he has lifted 300 days each year for the last five years.

While the bodybuilder was confident he lifted more than 300 days per year, he didn’t do the math. Coming up with an arbitrary number, Sulek said that hypothetically, even if he worked out 1500 hours, it is a massive number. “How many hours of League of Legends do you have clocked in?” asked the bodybuilding prodigy. “You could be right here,” said Sulek.

“Instead, you’ve got 1500 hours in League,” Sulek added. Hence, the fitness influencer’s secret turned out to be nothing more than discipline and consistency. While statements like this have garnered Sam Sulek a legion of fans and social media fame, many detractors are convinced that Sam Sulek’s ste***d use must not be overlooked.

While Sam Sulek continues to inspire millions of young followers to get into fitness, many veterans of the fitness industry have frowned at the 21-year-old. That’s because veterans like Athlean-X, Greg Doucette, and many others believe that Sulek is on performance-enhancing d**gs. While Sulek discusses all aspects of bodybuilding, he never brings up the PEDs.

Thus, the fitness industry veterans believe that the 21-year-old is setting the wrong precedence. Other fitness influencers are worried that Sulek’s impressionable audience might believe that simply discipline, consistency, and dieting will also make them look like Sulek. However, putting aside the PED debate, Sam Sulek undeniably put things into perspective for those who are addicted to gaming and might not even understand.
