Former US Navy SEAL-turned-ultra marathon athlete David Goggins shared a recent experience with his fans. The social media fitness icon explained how disappointed he felt after observing the actions of two men. Goggins explained his encounter with two valets while parking his car. The former Navy SEAL felt disheartened and uploaded an old video of himself.

Laziness is something David Goggins dislikes. Since he was once indisciplined and 290 lbs, getting off the couch and forcing himself to change mentally and physically has led him to success. And, when Goggins saw the two valets being lazy, he couldn’t help but tell his 11.1 million followers about the downsides. Besides his regular fans, the author got the support of someone unlikely, Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s ex-wife, Maria Shriver.

David Goggins claimed that “laziness is running rampant in this world,” before writing about the perfect example. After his daily “long run” workout, the former armed forces member pulled his car to a valet. Goggins said that he spotted two valets, and they noticed him. However, the two men continued munching on their In-N-Out burgers instead of doing their job.

Both men “decided” it was too cold and uncomfortable to go outside and do the job they signed up for, said Goggins. So, the SEAL with an unbeatable work ethic “proceeded to do their job for them.” David Goggins felt especially disappointed because these young men chose comfort and abandoned their “conscience.” Goggins explained how he never behaved this way.

The author of Can’t Hurt Me even uploaded a video from 2009 when he had just started making a name for himself. The reporter asked why Goggins chose to work so hard. The fitness icon said that he decided to change himself and didn’t look back. The 48-year-old also claimed that he runs ultra-marathons to raise money for charity.

Fans of David Goggins praised their icon, and some even shared their stories of overcoming laziness. However, few expected Maria Shriver to comment “bravo” in the comments section. As a fellow philanthropist, Maria Shriver could appreciate Goggins’ hard work and commitment to a noble cause. Shrive herself is no different in her mindset.
