In 2021, the couple took on a similar challenge, and guess what? Back then, Keri won the competition. Now, as the duo embarks on the challenge again, the 400-lb Brian Shaw has posted a video on his YouTube channel to showcase what it is all about.

At the beginning of the video, they visit the Fit Wellness Center in Broomfield, Colorado, to understand their exact body fat percentage. The couple went for hydrostatic weighing, considered the gold standard in body fat testing. The method involves submerging individuals underwater to measure their body density accurately. The process, while initially nerve-wracking, becomes a game of how much air they can expel underwater to achieve the most accurate results.

The conversation during the weighing is lighthearted, with Shaw recounting a previous disappointing experience with a DEXA scan, emphasizing the inaccuracies, especially for lean individuals. Keri goes first and manages to blow out more air than expected, resulting in a significant drop in her body fat percentage from 20.8% to 19.6%. The father of two follows suit, initially at 18.9%, but after multiple attempts, he achieves a lower percentage of 17.6%.

The duo discusses their feelings about the results, with Brian expressing contentment with being under 20%, and Keri pointing out the societal acceptance of higher body fat percentages for women. Despite Keri’s initial expectation, the retired Strongman holds a lead of 1.3% in body fat.

The transformation challenge intensifies as they officially announce their competition within the Shaw Elite Club.
