Since the inception of his professional career, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been passionate about whatever he has set his foot into. Be it his bodybuilding days and how he approached it, his acting career, or politics. Schwarzenegger built an empire worth $450 million for himself. Even now, as he continues to help people thrive for better health via his newsletter, Schwarzenegger maintains that no “negative” people are part of his ‘village’. Creative at his best, Schwarzenegger recently shared a clip from one of his early movies.

This out-and-out action movie was made on a relatively smaller budget of $9 million and grossed $57.5 million. The shared clip beautifully parallels the elimination of negativity with the deaths of all the goons in the film, while fans are transported back to when they first saw the film.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently took to Instagram and shared a video of his film, Commando. The post’s caption read, “Arnold’s Pump Club, my free daily newsletter to terminate all the noise and negativity in health and fitness. Join us at the positive corner of the internet at the link in my bio”. It was a promotional strategy in its most basic form. However, it was the clip attached to that post that caught everyone’s attention.

In 1985, Arnold Schwarzenegger starred as John Matrix in Mark L. Lester’s ‘Commando’. Towards the climax of the film, as Schwarzenegger escapes a compound in a full military outfit, he is attacked from all sides. Instead, Schwarzenegger attacks back wipes each of them out, and finds his way out.

The video on Instagram shows a current-day term to be negated out over each fallen man. The video showed certain tags like, “Instagram Grifters”“Shaady Salespeople”“Fake Tiktok Fitness Guru”, and “Wait! You have to try my new product. Easy abs in 10 days”, when some goons were shot. When Schwarzenegger blew up a few houses, they were tagged as, “Hustle Culture”“Bad Gym Etiquette”“The next big thing”“Fad diets”“Shortcuts”“Bullying”“Magic Pills”“Perfection”“Beating yourself up”, and finally the biggest of them all, “Negativity.”

Schwarzenegger’s fans take a nostalgic trip back and are appreciative of his efforts

It was remarkable to think that an action movie made then was of such a large scale and stature. And Arnold Schwarzenegger managed to make it a success. His fans, who were taken back to their memories of first seeing the film, shared their thoughts:

“For the win,” wrote bodybuilder Mike O’Hearn, who is admittedly a big Arnold Schwarzenegger fan. “This is the greatest post in the history of the internet”, wrote someone who could see the good intentions behind the post.

“Commando is the movie that made me want to make action movies, and now I’m about to direct my 6th one! Also, I joined Pump Club and am doing the push-ups workout. Base Line Test I achieved 39 in 1 minute. Onward and upward, and thanks so much for the inspiration!” wrote a fan who was individually a big fan of the movie as well as Schwarzenegger’s ‘village’.

“GREATEST OF ALL TIME,” wrote someone in all capital letters with a fire emoji beside it. His fandom was self-explanatory. “The newsletter is great,” wrote someone who has obviously found the newsletter very helpful.
