The competition in the Men’s Open Division this year is incredibly intense, with every contender giving their absolute best to claim the coveted title. The reigning champion is showcasing his amazing progress, but the spotlight has shifted to last year’s runner-up, who is constantly garnering attention from the bodybuilding community.
The IFBB Pro Coach shared a video on his YouTube channel on October 4th. In this video, he unveiled his favorite contender from the Open Division, every competitor is giving their best to be on the top, however, the runner-up from last year is putting in the hard work to be the new champion of Mr. Olympia.

Lunsford surpasses the chance of winning $300,000
Doucette, however, named Derek Lunsford as the potential candidate to win this year’s competition. He shared the reasoning behind the chances of him claiming the SANDOW trophy. He compared the top contenders from last year to now after going through their growth.
The result of Derek Lunsford’s progress really impressed Doucette. He opined that the defender Hadi Choopan had its peak, but now every possibility is showing towards a potential new champion for the desired title. He mentioned that Choopan’s winning chances are less, he would win only, “If Derek worked to regress, but I don’t believe that’s going to happen,” Doucette said in the video.
