Olympia TV host Terrick El Guindy was busy interviewing athletes at the Check-In and fought up with the Olympia-winning bodybuilder-coach duo. Earlier, the Olympia TV YouTube channel published the interview where Hany Rambod spoke about the mental health of the defending champion. Despite the stress of aiming for the fifth consecutive title, Rambod and Cbum surprised Guindy with their answer.

After speaking with Bumstead, the Olympia TV host turned to Rambod for his opinion. “Hany it looks like Chris Bumstead not only has the physique but right now after winning four classic physiques he’s mentally aware,” said the interview. “He knows what to do he knows what to expect. Yeah?” Guindy asked the multiple-time Olympia-winning coach.

“Yes. Absolutely,” Rambod responded confidently. “I think he’s been through the journey… the evolution process”—to mature as a champion, said reigning Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan’s coach. “He’s in a place right now where he’s very zen…” said Hany Rambod, laughing. Chris Bumstead also smiled at his coach’s response. “He is very calm,” Rambod said in the end.

The King of Classic physique also seemed equally confident in his ability to defend the title. After winning the 2022 Mr. Olympia Classic Physique title, Bumstead revealed he had a mental breakdown right before the show. Bumstead feared he would lose because he was competing with the torn bicep. Ramnbod was among those who helped him recover before stepping on stage.
