Zac Efron ended 2023 with a bang as Iron Claw released to critical and commercial acclaim. Over the past few months, the Baywatch star has shared several anecdotes from Iron Claw, along with stills from the film. His latest post and the series of photographs that accompanied it have convinced the fitness community that he’ll be a perfect match for an MCU character.

While Mark Ruffalo is open to returning as The Incredible Hulk, the fans are convinced Efron’s look in Iron Claw makes him look like the superhero. However, if you’re wondering why it’s impossible for a man, no matter how large, to match up to the CGI Hulk from the MCU, the fact is, fans were not referring to the modern rendition of Hulk.

What Zac Efron learned about professional wrestlers

While fitness enthusiasts drooled over Zac Efron’s shredded yet massive physique in Iron Claw, the actor wrote about an important lesson he learned. “I have so much admiration and respect for the world of Professional Wrestling,” wrote the actor who portrayed Kevin Von Erich. The 36-year-old learned about “the sacrifice and dedication of the athletes…” while filming.

The actor penned further, “These guys tour for MONTHS putting their bodies on the line every day to perform. (It) was an honor to step into the ring and learn from one of the best.” Various stills from the film showing Efron in the ring accompanied the post. While the actor had gotten shredded for Baywatch, he looked substantially more muscular in the pictures Iron Claw pictures. Meanwhile, fans thought he looked like the first live-action Hulk, Lou Ferrigno.

The fitness community found Efron fit for more than one superhero

“Is it me or does Zac look like the Incredible Hulk?” wrote one fan. “He could be in the 1980s Hulk series with that hair and body,” wrote another follower. While Efron portrayed one of the Von Erich brothers, he looked similar to the former Mr. Universe, Lou Ferrigno. Ferrigno’s massive physique and 6’4 stature made him a perfect fit to play the Hulk in the ’80s when CGI was not as advanced.

However, many fans thought he could play some other superheroes as well. “I feel I’m seeing He-man!” wrote one fan. Meanwhile, another thought he’d be the perfect fit for Hercules. “If this man doesn’t play the live-action Hercules…” stated another fan. However, others just praised what Efron achieved in Iron Claw. “Amazing Actor. I love all his movies. He’s the hottest guy on earth,” claimed another fan.
