The most prestigious event in bodybuilding, Mr. Olympia 2023, is live now. The 59th edition of this coveted show has delivered many surprises up to the last moment. Numerous athletes have withdrawn because of health concerns. One of the most shocking exits was that of Nick Walker, who was one of the toughest contenders in the Men’s Open Division.

Walker Came, third to Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan last year in Olympia. And earlier this year, during the Arnold Classic, 2023, he secured second place to Samson Dauda. Walker has shown remarkable progress throughout the year, but sadly he had to withdraw due to a hamstring tear. Seeing him sitting in a wheelchair broke fans’ hearts.

“Make no mistake about it – I absolutely LOVE this man. It is humanly impossible NOT to love @nick_walker39 – his mind, heart, and soul and everything that he represents. As his mom (president of Milos SARCEV’s hater’s club) told me – Nick is every bodybuilder’s bodybuilder. And she is right. I love you Nick ( and Mom) and if I can give you part of me to make you recover faster – it is already yours,” said Sarcev.

The IFBB pro’s latest Instagram post disheartened his fans and followers around the world. He captioned this reel video, “Making the best of it.” He’s showing his mental strength during this difficult time.  It must be killing him inside that despite coming this close to performing on the prestigious stage, he won’t be able to do that anymore. The discipline he maintained, and the sacrifices he made to pursue his dream, ended for this year.

Regardless of his situation, the Mutant made a strong statement, and said, “I know myself there’s just another reason for me to come back stronger, another reason to come back.” He showcased his determination. However, being present at the venue of the competition made him a great sportsman. Despite not being able to display his progress on stage, he undoubtedly conveys a powerful message through his mental strength.
