Derek Lunsford was confident he would win!

In this video they delved into a Q&A session, Rambod asked Lunsford about his preparation and the mental state he had before the contest, and he said “Here Derek did you honestly expect to win?”

While replying to his question, the soon-to-be father confidently said, “I believed that I could win yes like I had set my sights on it all year I said I was on a mission to be Mr Olympia and make history this year so yeah I expected going in there that I had a great shot at coming away with the title.” He has shown his confidence and self-belief even before stepping on the stage. He is a strong believer in supreme power his perspective shows his gratitude for life, which is filled with a passion for bodybuilding.

Lunsford’s approach to improvements

Lunsford already put his eye on the next year’s trophy and began his training accordingly. during one of his interactions, one fan wished and hoped that he would defend his title next year. He assures his fans that he is confident to defend his title he politely replies, “Here to stay.”
