On May 15, Arnold Schwarzenegger posted a picture he took on the Lufthansa flight en route to the 2023 ArnoldSCI Austrian World Summit. However, some Twitter users accused the Governator of hypocrisy for flying to a climate action summit on his private jet, despite the visible Lufthansa logo in the picture. In his response, Schwarzenegger laid down the facts for some of the naysayers. However, he took issue with the choice of words Fox News used to represent the intent of Arnie’s response while covering the news.

Earlier, the bodybuilding icon and former Mr. Olympia shared the tweet by Fox News. In his tweet, the 75-year-old pointed out the inefficacy of the headline and dismantled it to reveal how it misrepresented his statement.

Arnold Schwarzenegger named two key mistakes

After Schwarzenegger responded to the baseless claim of flying on a private jet, Fox News reported on the former Mr. Universe’s statements. The headline of their article and the tweet were one and the same. “Arnold @Schwarzenegger rips critics who accused him of flying to climate conference on private jet,” wrote the official Twitter page of Fox News.

While the article quoted Arnie and his critics’ tweets, the headline infuriated Schwarzenegger. “Bogus headline designed to cause confusion and anger,” the 75-year-old wrote while sharing the tweet. He didn’t have any kind words for the news outlet and added, “the opposite of what news should do.”

The 80s Hollywood action icon also mentioned two key points the headline fails to convey. “A: It doesn’t tell you the key fact: I didn’t fly private,” he stated. “B: I didn’t rip anyone. I corrected with zero anger and gave advice,” tweeted the 75-year-old fitness icon. Schwarzenegger, who has held himself accountable for his past mistakes, publicly berated the headline. However, this isn’t the only time the Governator took issues with the omission of certain points by a media outlet.

The recent pothole controversy

Last month, Arnold Schwarzenegger and his crew filled in a pothole in his neighborhood that had become a road hazard. However, controversy soon erupted as many thought the former governor didn’t have the authority to do work meant for the L.A. Department of Public Works. CBS News reported on the incident and wrote the “giant pothole” Schwarzenegger “filled.. was actually a trench that had been dug for utility work, according to the city.”

However, Arnie revealed that the media house had not included an important piece of information in their tweet. “This headline/tweet is bogus,” he tweeted on April 16. “The utility work was finished in January. I filled in the hole 3 months later and the city left my fix in place,” corrected Arnie.
