Mike O’Hearn is a fitness fanatic. Even in his 50s, he is still hitting the gym every day to get better in life. Captioning the clip with, “The harsh reality of getting better,” O’Hearn left an important message. He warned, “and the harsh reality is, if you’re not trying to get better, you’re going backwards. Because time does not wait. You’re not gonna get better if you’re trying to maintain…because life goes a hundred percent past you…I know that sucks to hear but that’s what makes this so special.”

Seeing every passionate rookie bodybuilder leaning toward the shortcut, O’Hearn explained there’s no replacement for hard work.

He further shared how he could see them deteriorate away. To give his expert advice, O’Hearn stated, “…Give it 5 years of just consistent training, consistent nutrition, and then if you decide to go down that road, go down that road.”
