76-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger served as the 38th Governor of California for two terms. The seven-time Mr. Olympia was vocal about California’s condition in the early 2000s, so he put money where it was needed. Despite his critics, Schwarzenegger was popular among the public. However, after serving as governor for two consecutive terms, The Austrian Oak stepped away from politics. That’s because the constitution didn’t allow Arnie to fulfill his ambition.

Earlier, the 76-year-old fitness icon appeared on the Howard Stern Show. Schwarzenegger was there to promote his book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life. While discussing Arnie’s career, Stern asked the bodybuilding legend if he “envisioned” running for president after serving as governor. The Terminator revealed how he felt about becoming president.

Howard Stern asked the FUBAR actor if the law prohibiting people born outside of America from running for president frustrated the Golden Era bodybuilder. Yet, the five-time Mr. Universe responded, “It really wasn’t.” The 76-year-old fitness icon couldn’t “complain” about his misfortune. “I felt kind of like everything that I’ve accomplished in my life… all because of America,” Arnie said.

“I think that I have the energy and the will to bring people together,” Arnie said confidently. Stern seconded the bodybuilding icon’s assumption. “I think you would’ve won,” expressed the host, and Schwarzenegger agreed. He said many people still come up to him and say they wish Arnie could become president. Besides, Schwarzenegger remains relevant in the political sphere because of his interest in it and also because of his ongoing feud with a former president.

The bodybuilding icon and Donald Trump continue their feud

As the 2024 presidential elections inch closer, former POTUS Donald Trump aims to get re-elected. Similarly, the current president and Trump’s adversary, Joe Biden, wishes to extend his presidency for another term. During a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Arnold Schwarzenegger threw shade at the 45th president of America.

Jimmy Kimmel asked the 76-year-old a question about Trump’s listed weight. Arnie couldn’t help but crack a hilarious joke toward his fellow Republican and rival. Hours after Schwarzenegger’s comment, the 77-year-old hit back on social media. “Now that the ‘strike’ is over, the talentless, low-rated CREEPS of Late Night Television are back,” wrote the former president. For now, Schwarzenegger hasn’t responded.

While Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to become president of America, he didn’t complain about the constitution restricting him. The bodybuilding legend doesn’t want to complain about the nation that helped him achieve everything he dreamed of and more.
