Bodybuilding veteran and fitness influencer Greg Doucette has made yet another video about Sam Sulek. The former IFBB pro analyzed the 21-year-old uber-famous fitness influencer’s winter bulking video. However, at the beginning of the video, Doucette caught on to a statement the former platform diver made about his grip strength.

In his video, the bodybuilding sensation spoke about measuring his grip strength. Sulek claimed he had used a friend’s dynamometer to measure his grip strength after a cardio session. The 21-year-old claimed he achieved “205 lbs” while measuring his left-hand grip strength. Meanwhile, Sam Sulek managed to hit 197 lbs with his right hand. Highlighting this fact, Doucette made an interesting comparison.

Is Sam Sulek stronger than the World’s Strongest Man?

Greg Doucette found Sulek’s claim quite interesting because the bodybuilding coach knows what 2023 WSM winner Mitchell Hooper’s grip strength was. The veteran powerlifter said Sulek produced some “significant power.” Doucette also added that if his viewers were wondering if Sulek’s numbers were impressive, he would put things into perspective.

The bodybuilding coach compared Sulek’s numbers with Mitchell Hooper. Doucette revealed that the 21-year-old bodybuilder posted better results than Hooper. At 6’3 and 320 lbs, Mitchell Hooper is much taller and heavier than Sulek. However, while playing a clip of Hooper taking a dynamometer test, Doucette said the WSM winner managed only 185 lbs with his right hand.

Interestingly, Coach Greg was present in the clip where Hooper measured his grip strength. Hence, Doucette’s revelation does hold weight. However, as the video progressed, Doucettes analysis of the fitness influencer became less flattering.

Greg Doucette doesn’t agree with the bodybuilding sensation

The former competitive powerlifter’s video analysis is the latest in a long line of videos about Sam Sulek. Greg Doucette disagreed with many of Sulek’s bulking recommendations. Sulek said one should aim to eat as many calories as they can into their system daily. However, the Canadian national bodybuilding champion said one should consider their activity levels before following Sulek’s advice.

Coach Greg said eating extra calories regardless of activity levels would result in unwanted fat build-up instead of muscle. However, many people on the internet have not taken kindly to Doucette’s constant scrutiny of Sam Sulek. Some fans have even hinted that Doucette is biased and overly critical about the 21-year-old.

However, Doucette claims that his videos on the fitness influencer only point to counterarguments with scientific evidence. Comparing Sulek’s grip strength with Mitchell Hooper is also part of the bodybuilding coach, putting Sulek’s claims and advice into perspective.
