The Arnold Classic not only displays intense showdowns on stage but is often a meeting ground for bodybuilder meetups off stage as well. A recent post shared by the Arnold Sports Festival’s Instagram page was a perfect example of the same, which showcased a couple of pictures that showed Arnold Schwarzenegger with bodybuilding royalty.

While one image showcased Arnie with five-time Mr. Olympia Classic Physique winner Chris Bumstead, the second image featured eight-time Mr. Olympia title holder Lee Haney and four-time winner Jay Cutler alongside the Austrian Oak. As the Arnold Classic comes to a close soon, these pictures seem to have sent the bodybuilding community into a frenzy.

A legendary gathering at the Arnold Classic

Through the post, the bodybuilding world witnessed a historic meetup of all time in one frame at the event. Eight-time Olympian champion Lee Haney, four-time champion Jay Cutler, five-time champion Chris Bumstead, and Arnie, himself, with seven Sandow trophies to his name, were having breakfast together at the event. Bumstead, who had earlier revealed his dad’s dream of meeting Schwarzenegger, had him in attendance as well.  

On the other hand, Cutler’s presence at the event had other reasons as well. Earlier, Cutler received the 2024 Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award, showcasing his dedication and passion for the years he has put in for the industry, a journey that went from being part of a family business to becoming a bodybuilding legend. Bumstead also was part of the IFBB Pro meet and greet session at the Arnold Classic.

As the legends in the frame become a reminder of the dedication, commitment, and hard work that one has to put in to reach the pinnacle of bodybuilding, fans went crazy and expressed their thoughts in the comments section of the post.

Fans bask in the Olympian aura

One fan saw how wholesome Bumstead’s father meeting Schwarzenegger was and wrote, ” Daddy cbum with his daddy and Goat itself.” Even CBum’s father took to the comments section and shared his experience at the event saying, “ What a privilege to meet these legends. So humble and welcoming.”

One admirer commented, summing up all the titles won by the legends in the frame, “Literally 24 shadows at that breakfast table.” An Instagram user also reminisced about the time when he first saw the Terminator as a kid, and wrote,” Wanting to be jacked 14 yo 69kg currently ur big inspiration.” Another wrote about Cutler’s playful behavior in one of the pictures, saying, “Casual Jay photobomb is iconic.”
