However, the entire concept of competition in the sport is breaking and setting records. Although there have not been many been better than Arnie, fans still remember a 64-year-old legend.

After winning the title of Mr. Olympia for the eighth time in 1991, Lee Haney broke Arnold Schwarzenegger’s extraordinary record of 7. and ties with the King of bodybuilding, for having secured the highest number of the title. He is still a very beloved and favored bodybuilder, even at the age of 64. The love and admiration he received on his resurfaced video is a standing testament to it.

Lee Haney on shattering the Mr. Olympia record

A popular bodybuilding fan page recently took to their YouTube channel and shared a video of Lee Haney, where he is seen expressing his joy on being one of the record holders for winning Mr. Olympia eight times. The short video began with Haney being asked, where he wishes to go beyond winning the title eight times.

To this, Lee Haney replied that he felt like winning in 1991 was it for him at the age of 31, because it in itself was a miracle. He said, “It was a gift from God, yes I had to work hard, you just don’t hand gifts out. You have to go get it. And I went and got it with all of my heart. With that eighth Olympia, it felt like I could finally exhale.”

He goes on to add that when you’re on top, there’s nowhere to go beyond that. However, it is extremely important to maintain the level. Being grateful for the fact that he has lived his life to the fullest, he’s grateful for where life has led him. The entire fitness community was mesmerized by the video and showed their love for the legend.

Haney still manages to impress fans

The fitness world came together and showered their admiration for the legend Lee Haney with comments like, “Mass with class” and “He still looks good.” Another fan, unaware of Haney’s tie-up with Ronnie Coleman, even commented, “I had no idea there was an 8-time winner other than Ronnie.”
