Arnold Schwarzenegger has been making waves with the release of his book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life. The bodybuilding icon launched the book on October 10, and within days, it became the bestselling book in its genre. While Schwarzenegger has written books before, Be Useful is unique as it’s the first time the 76-year-old has authored a self-help book.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has a dream

The 76-year-old fitness icon worked hard for months to promote his first self-help book. The former Mr. Universe appeared on talk shows and podcasts and posted about it on social media. The FUBAR actor also lent his voice to the audiobook version of Be Useful. The hard work seems to have paid off, as the book is flying off the shelves.

While it’s an achievement to top The New York Times Bestseller list in any category, to do so for two consecutive weeks is an even bigger accomplishment. “Thank you all! Two weeks at #1 in a row,” the Hollywood icon wrote in the caption of his post. Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life occupied the top spot, above Atomic Habits by James Clear, which has spent 204 weeks on the list.

With the continued success of his book, the former governor wrote about his vision. “I still see my vision of everyone holding Be Useful in their hands and working their way to a more positive life,” wrote Arnie. With his first self-help book, which originated from one of his father’s teachings, Arnie hopes to help everyone find success. However, this isn’t the only list his book has topped.

While Arnie’s book climbed to the top of the NY Times bestseller list mere days after its launch, it topped others before it. Shortly after announcing the launch and putting up his book for pre-order, Be Useful topped Amazon’s list of most pre-ordered books. A few days after launching his work, the author shared another post.
