Newly Crowned Arnold Classic Champion Reveals the Wisdom Behind His Superhuman Physique

The bodybuilding legends from the Silver and Golden era envisioned the sport as an art form. Arnold Schwarzenegger famously described a bodybuilder as being the art and the artist rolled into one. Almost five decades after his statement, today’s champions view bodybuilding in a similar light. Hadi Choopan shared a similar philosophy behind bodybuilding earlier.
The Persian Wolf is among the most decorated bodybuilders competing today. The 2022 Mr. Olympia completed his portfolio of major bodybuilding accolades by winning the Arnold Classic 2024. However, he didn’t just stop at winning in Ohio and walked away the victor at the Arnold Classic UK earlier this month. Now, he has shared the reason behind his tryst with the sport.
Hadi Choopan sees himself as an artist. Just like Arnold Schwarzenegger and other bodybuilding legends, the champion believes, “I am a stone carver! (A) Sculptor.” A sculptor chisels away at hard stone, day after day, changing it gradually. After a painstaking effort, the sculptor tries to create a statute that represents perfection. Choopan is no different.

For years, the bodybuilder has toiled in the gym for countless hours. Like all bodybuilders, he has trained his strengths and turned weaknesses into strengths. Although his shelves are filled with trophies, Choopan and elite bodybuilders like him continue to strive for further improvement. The video Choopan uploaded showed him in stage-ready condition at the tanning booth.
While it’s unclear when he filmed the video, Choopan had posted a similar photo a few days ago. In that picture, Hany Rambod looked on as The Persian Wolf posed for his coach one final time before stepping on stage. Hailing from a remote Iranian village, Hadi Choopan has raced the pinnacle of the sport and shows no signs of slowing down.

Hadi Choopan dreams of avenging his loss
In 2024, Hadi Choopan joined the elite club of bodybuilders who have won the Olympia and the Arnold Classic. However, The Persian Wolf has an opportunity to join another exclusive club. In fact, only Jay Culter has achieved it once in bodybuilding history. However, to become a part of this club, Choopan has to beat reigning Mr. Olympia Derek Lunsford.
Lunsford dethroned Hadi Choopan at the Mr. Olympia 2023. However, The Persian Wolf has been hungry for revenge ever since. In 2009, Jay Cutler became the only bodybuilder to avenge his Olympia loss to Dexter Jackson and regain the title. If the 2024 Arnold Classic Champion wins in 2024, he’ll become only the second bodybuilder to do so.

Hadi Choopan started bodybuilding because he didn’t like his physique. Since then, the bodybuilder has carved a shredded body to become a champion. Yet, will his dedication to the art form bring him another Olympia title? Only time will tell.
