Exercise Scientist Dr. Mike Israetel may crack jokes in all of his videos, but he can be brutal when it comes to training. So when seven-time Men’s Physique Olympian Kyron Holden came to Israetel to train legs, the bodybuilding coach put him through an intense session. In fact, the session was so brutal the Men’s Physique Olympia runner-up nearly gave up.

However, the 2022 Mr. Olympia People’s Champion, Nick Walker, showed up and made the workout even harder for Holden. Yet, the leg training session didn’t contain a lot of exercises. The session started with back raises, moving on to stiff leg deadlifts as the second exercise. Israetel and Walker further ended the session with hack squats. In the video, one could see how extensively the Exercise Scientist was explaining how Holden needed to execute the exercises.

But, things did get difficult for the Men’s Physique pro because of the relentless intensity of the leg day. The exercise scientist and Classic Physique Pro Jared Feather scrutinized every twitch of Kyron Holden’s muscle fibers. Israetel didn’t just hype up the competitive bodybuilder but constantly urged him to push harder. As they moved through the exercises, things became more grueling during the hack squat.

The exercise scientist didn’t allow Holden any rest and stretched out each set until the pro bodybuilder nearly gave up. Nick Walker also showed no mercy to the Men’s Physique competitor. In fact, after the painful hack squat session, Walker suggested Dr. Israetel put him through an additional exercise, the Bulgarian split squat.

“Finish him off,” said the Mr. Olympia bronze medalist. The bodybuilding coach hesitated for a moment. “He’s gonna die,” the Exercise Scientist told Walker. Yet Walker suggested that the leg training session with Mike Israetel should be something Kyron Holden remembers his entire life. So Israetel and Walker made him do Bulgarian split squats until he couldn’t stand upright. However, Nick Waker didn’t just stand around while Holden trained.

Nick Walker’s leg day

The Mr. Olympia contender and the exercise scientist hadn’t planned to meet up. In his video description, the Renaissance Periodization founder wrote, “A wild Nick Walker appears for quads.” The Pokemon reference means that Walker’s appearance was unplanned. In fact, the Arnold Classic champion’s leg day coincided with Holden’s training session.

Walker was training legs on a different machine and walked over to see the trio on the hack squat machine. After encouraging Holden to push harder, Walker also did a few sets of hack squats while the Men’s Physique athlete rested between sets. The Mutant also did a similarly intense set but added some weight. He also didn’t stick around till the end of the video and went back to training.
