Nick Walker delighted fans with another “Road to Recovery” video. ‘The Mutant’ has been going through a rough time since his injury. He hurt his hamstring while working out four days before the Mr. Olympia competition. Initially, when he got hurt, he couldn’t even walk and had to use a wheelchair. Even after the Olympia wound up, he had to stay in Orlando due to the severity of his injury.

A few days later, when he observed some significant improvement in his health, he flew back home. And he began his training at the gym. Even during his long stay in Orlando, he didn’t completely stop working out, as he kept himself busy doing upper-body movements.

Nick Walker shared glimpses of his speedy recovery

The 29-year-old athlete took to his YouTube channel and shared an update regarding his injury. In this video, after a long time, he tried to work out his legs a bit. He also advocated the benefits he was getting while working out in the midst of the hamstring injury.

‘The Mutant’ said in the video, “It’s okay to start training a little lightly. If you’re able to, of course, you know because part of a healing process is getting blood in the muscle. So, I’m not trying to overdo it. The leg press is a good exercise to do um well you know during this time.” Walker mentioned that he’s using only two weight plates, and even though he usually trains with a bit more, around five plates, he’s keeping it light due to injury.

Walker’s positive attitude in the healing process

The bodybuilding beast updated his fans about his healing process and how it’s making him stay focused. In his last video during the ‘Back Day’ routine, he expressed that he has been maintaining a positive outlook. It is necessary at this point to continue the path to a speedy recovery.

In addition, he began his warm-up with two exercises; the first exercise he performed was a pullover machine, and the second warm-up he included was a chest support row machine. He continued his routine with more repetitions. Again, he added that he doesn’t want to use extremely heavy weights but still wants the workout to be effective.
