Despite a remarkable transition from bodybuilding to showbiz, Arnold Schwarzenegger achieved stardom as an actor and was celebrated by his fans. The Hollywood action hero, who is an avid movie watcher as well, recently made a revelation about his favorite films that left the fans in shock. The seven-time Mr. Olympia shared a list of his favorite movies during a recent interview.

However, despite being a part of so many films, what caught everyone off guard was that he did not select his films as favorites. Regardless, here are the films that he considers his top three watches.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s top three films

The multifaceted legend revealed some classic films he had taken a liking to and drew inspiration from. Firstly, the Terminator actor named Titanic as one of his favorites. “Titanic is just — the storytelling, and the size of it, the visual effects…the first thing was just brilliantly — every character was brilliantly fleshed out,” stated Schwarzenegger.

For the second, he added Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather. “And then The Godfather, I think, when you talk about action movies, the combined story with action.” He highlighted the combination of a compelling story with action, praised the well-developed characters, and called it one of the best in its genre. Afterward, he picked, “Michael Crichton’s sci-fi western, Westworld”. This movie left a lasting impact on Schwarzenegger. He profoundly liked how Yul Brynner played a malfunctioning machine, inspiring his role in The Terminator.

The horrific incident from the sets of ‘Total Recall’

In a throwback video, Schwarzenegger shared a horrific incident that happened while he was shooting for Total Recall. He revealed that there was a young panther and cougar on set and that he enjoyed playing with them during breaks.

One day, as he walked to his RV, the cougar, weighing 100 pounds, suddenly jumped onto his neck, according to Schwarzenegger. Fortunately, the cougar was just playing with him and did not hurt the Governator. Despite a scary incident, Arnie still continues to adore animals and enjoys spending time with his pets at home.
