We all learn from the best; the four-time Mr. Universe, Mike O’Hearn, is no different from others. He also learned workout tactics from 80s IFBB Pro bodybuilder Francis Benfatto. Despite not winning a Mr. Olympia title, Benfatto still holds a prominent place and respect in the bodybuilding community.

Bodybuilding legends from the 80s motivated the Titan

In the reel, the four-time Mr. Universe was having a gym session with his workout partners in the Gold’s Gym. “Arms around the front, pull that underneath instead of the upwards back,” O’Hearn said while demonstrating the changes in the technique while performing the chest-supported lat pulldown that he learned from Benfatto. He highlighted that even in the 1980s, Benfatto discovered an exercise way ahead of its time. The four-time Mr. Universe thanked Benfatto, calling this exercise an “art piece.“.

He broke down the steps into easier parts so that everyone could understand. He said,“The cool thing about body changing is that you only need one aspect of it. So, if you’re not working and you’re eating badly, just clean up the meals. You don’t even have to start working out yet. You can just clean up the meal and that’s one step. Your body’s automatically going to change.”
