Sam Sulek’s distinctive approach to building muscles
In this short clip, Sulek shared his distinctive approach to bulking up, he said, that after a few months of hardcore bulking, you might hit a roadblock. Imagine trying to shovel food for 4 or 5 months straight- it’s not easy though! He understands that your body and progress can hit a plateau, like reaching a point where you’re not making as much as progress before. So what do you do when that inevitably happens?

He suggests, “You’ll just get to a point where you kind of have to give yourself a little break from pushing all the food. And then, you know, kind of couple that with the fact that your progress is probably plateaued. It just makes sense that you want to just reset yourself for the next bulk.” He recommended to take a break from the usual routine. Not a short two-month break, but a more extended break to let your body recover.

During this break, you ease up on the super strict eating and grueling exercises. His approach isn’t just about taking a physical break; it’s also a mental break. Constantly pushing yourself to eat more and lift heavier can be exhausting. By resetting, you give your mind and body to a chance to refuel. Not just Sulek, many elite bodybuilders suggest the same and emphasize taking a break and letting your body recover from the injury. And eventually, you’ll get the desired results.
