Instead of telling people to get shredded, Mark Wahlberg started his video by telling them to extend their lives and put “emphasis on quality of life.” For the past several years, the 52-year-old has focused on longevity. How the Hollywood star approaches fitness
Despite his age and focus on longevity, Mark Wahlberg is no slouch in the gym. Instead of traditional training, Wahlberg trains with more functional variations of traditional exercises. However, he doesn’t slack on the pace and still performs various exercises like bench presses, pull-ups, calf raises, and more.

However, the 52-year-old often opts for machines instead of free weights since exercise machines further mitigate the chances of injury. Hence, the Performance Inspired Nutrition owner can keep up with people younger than him when required. It’s also the reason why Wahlberg still stars in action films despite his age.
