The bodybuilding world is sure, going through unbearable losses, with young bodybuilders losing their lives due to several reasons. It suffered another great loss on the 26th of October, 2023, with the unfortunate demise of another legendary bodybuilder, Manuel Lomeli.
El Charro enjoyed an exceptionally successful career in the realm of the sport, being a national champion on the stage. He was so attached to the sport that even after his retirement; he worked as a trainer and created a name for himself as one of the top fitness experts in Mexico. Unfortunately, after being attacked twice this year, Lomeli succumbed to his wounds this Thursday.

The unfortunate demise of Manuel Lomeli
The official Instagram accounts of Bis and Tris, @bisandtris and @bisandtrisnation, took to their wall and reported the sad news of the murder of Manuel Lomeli. They shared a picture of Charro from his prime days of bodybuilding and put it up in black and white to reminisce about his journey.

In the caption, they wrote, “It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Manuel Lomeli – @charroifbbpro”. He was murdered on Thursday in Leon Mexico. According to the reports, he was shot fatally from an unmarked vehicle by two masked gunmen as he was headed to the gym in his truck for his regular workout.
The news came as a devastating one to the family and sharing condolences with them, Bris and Tris added in the caption, “My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, his friends, and his loved ones. Rest in Peace, Manuel. 🙏🏼🌹” Even the entire fitness community joined in mourning the loss of another legend.

The entire bodybuilding community came in unison to mourn the loss of the legendary bodybuilder and power lifter. While one of them, taking to the constant passing away of bodybuilders due to steroids, and this being a different case, highlighted, “Now people are going to blame steroids! RIP Iron Brother 😢”, another emotionally commented, “That is crazy it sounds like a personal hit”.
A follower, going down memory lane, and talking about the prime days of Charro, commented, “This was the first guy that popped up when I researched Mexican bodybuilders back in the day RIP Charro”, while another, taking to his exceptional PRs in the gym wrote, “It’s an evil world we live in. Prayers to his family and may he RIP.
