2024 has been an year full of unexpected twists for bodybuilding fans. From Wesley Vissers defeating Ramon Dino at the Arnold Classic to Nick Walker making his much-anticipated comeback, the tales just don’t end. Now, months after his defeat at the Arnold Classic, Samson Dauda also has some exciting news to share.

The Nigerian Lion recently parted ways with his former coach, Milos Sarcev, after getting dethroned at the Arnold Classic 2024 by Hadi Choopan. Since then, he has been training for his wife. But now the former Arnold Classic Champion is in Kuwait and has dropped an update about his next coach as well. 

Dauda to train with Oxygen Gyms

A few hours ago, Dauda shared on his Instagram account that he’ll be joining the Oxygen gym chain in Kuwait. “Onto the next chapter,”  The Nigerian Lion said. While Dauda will be training under Bader Boodai in Kuwait, there’s a catch to this.

Dauda is going to Kuwait to prepare for his next show; however, the Nigerian Lion hasn’t disclosed any details about it yet. The former Arnold Classic champion has high hopes for the guys in Kuwait. “You know what we’re going to do this, and I believe them guys definitely have what it takes to push me to the limits,” Dauda said in his Instagram story.

Further, the Nigerian Lion mentioned that while he’ll be training under the eyes of Boodai, his wife will be coaching him. “Mel will be coaching me and the guys will be in Kuwait helping me out; that is official,” Dauda revealed. Dauda has faith in his wife, as she’s been the one helping him for the past few years. She recently managed the Nigerian Lion’s peak physique for a competition as well. 

It is not a new task for Gustowska to train the Nigerian Lion

After the Arnold Classic Ohio wrapped up and Choopan won the title, defeating Dauda in an intense bout of posing, he parted ways with his coach, Sarcev. This raised rumors about Dauda’s next coach, but he put an end to all rumors just two weeks before the Arnold Classic UK. He had shared that his wife, Marlena Gustowska, will be the coach for his next championship.

Gustowska managed the Nigerian Lion’s peak physique for some of the shows earlier, too. She was the one who trained Dauda for both the Romania Pro and Prague. This will not be the first time Gustowska manages Dauda’s conditioning, and with the help of the guys in Kuwait, she might just turn the tables in his favor.
