Strongman legend Mitchell Hooper has shed some light on the perks of peptides, a popular enhancing supplement in the fitness world. Hooper himself admitted to using peptides and pointed out their advantages.
In a recent YouTube video, Hooper candidly revealed that peptides are like the unsung heroes of our physiology. He explained how peptides regulate blood sugar levels, showing just how crucial peptides are for bodies to function properly. While our bodies naturally produce peptides, they can also be created artificially and taken as supplements to achieve similar effects. But why does Hooper prefer the usage of peptides?

But regardless of regulations, their potential benefits cannot be ignored. Sure, there might not be heaps of scientific evidence yet. Still, countless personal experiences speak volumes about the positive impact peptides can have on strength, body composition, and recovery, as per Hooper.
He also emphasized that some peptides, like BPC157, TB4, and Tesamorelin, are making waves for their ability to promote tissue repair, boost immune function, and stimulate growth hormone release. Mike O’Hearn had also earlier talked about the effect of peptides on injuries that were common among athletes.
Mike O’Hearn explains how peptides can help the body recover
During the Mike O’Hearn Show on Generation Iron, Mike O’Hearn, and Titan Medical CEO John Tsikouris talked about peptides and their role in helping the body recover. O’Hearn asked Tsikouris for advice on staying healthy and avoiding acute injuries. Tsikouris suggested using TB-500 and BPC-157 peptides to strengthen connective tissues and lower the risk of getting hurt during workouts. He praised these peptides for their ability to heal and regenerate damaged tissues. According to reports, TB-500 helps with skin repair, while BPC-157 supports tendon growth.

Tsikouris explained, “BPC-157 is more natural for the body because it comes from stomach juices.” He added that BPC-157 targets specific areas, while TB-500 works throughout the body. Tsikouris suggested using them preventively to protect shoulders, knees, and elbows. According to him, healthy individuals could use these peptides regularly to prevent injuries and for longer periods if they are recovering from injuries.
However, it’s essential to approach peptide usage with caution and under the guidance of medical professionals. Potential side effects, though rare, underscore the importance of informed decision-making and regular monitoring of health parameters.
As many in the strength training arena like Hooper and O’Hearn continue to vouch for peptides, what are your thoughts about them? Would you use peptides as supplements? Let us know in the comments.
