Bodybuilder and fitness influencer Jesse James West has become quite popular in the?bodybuilding?community. Last year, the young influencer got a taste of how it feels to compete when he participated, and did well, in an NPC bodybuilding contest. However, he went in with a barebones prep. Now, the self-proclaimed son of eight-time Mr. Olympia?Ronnie Coleman?plans to compete again and has a serious approach this time.

West is doing an entire series of videos, which he calls the prep series, for his upcoming show. In episode four, with five days left before his contest, West trained with The King. To train with the eight-time Mr. Olympia, West custom-made the legendary striped shorts Coleman wore while training in his prime. He also got matching shirts and said,?“Like father like son.”?However, the images he uploaded to Instagram of himself standing beside the 59-year-old blew the minds of bodybuilding fans.

With less than a week before his contest, Jesse James West pulled out all the stops. Not only did he train with Coleman in matching gym outfits, but they also trained at the legendary Metroflex gym. In his post, the 25-year-old uploaded two images with The King of bodybuilding. The first image seemed to have been clicked mid-workout, probably after the dumbbell press session.

However, in the second snap, Coleman and West hit the most muscular pose under perfect downlighting. While the images showed the progress the 25-year-old has made in a short time, Coleman stole the show. Despite needing a wheelchair and crutches, Coleman shocked fans with his physique.

While the former?Mr. Olympia can stand pain-free?thanks to stem cell therapy, he still requires assistance to move around. Hence, fans were shocked at how the 59-year-old rivaled the 25-year-old in muscle mass. They flocked to the comments section to point out that fact.
