“That Ain’t No F**king Joke”: Ronnie Coleman Reacts to Elite Powerlifter’s Insane 795 Lbs Bench press

Ronnie Coleman, the legendary eight-time Mr. Olympia, recently reacted to an astonishing feat of strength by elite powerlifter Julius Maddox. Coleman, known for his no-nonsense attitude and raw commentary, didn’t hold back his astonishment as he watched Maddox’s incredible lift unfold.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Coleman’s reaction was visceral: “That ain’t no f**king joke,” he exclaimed, clearly impressed by Maddox’s Herculean display of strength. However, Coleman couldn’t help but express his surprise at the specific weight lifted, initially mistaking it for 700 lbs before realizing it was a staggering 795 lbs.
With his trademark intensity, Coleman remarked, “Should have rounded that off to 800 though, should have rounded that off, buddy.” Coleman’s commentary didn’t stop there. He delved into the nuances of powerlifting, emphasizing the significant challenge posed by the incremental increase from 700 to 800 lbs. “That 5 lbs is a lot of weight when you get up to the 700, 800 lb,” Coleman noted, highlighting the immense difficulty of each additional pound at such extreme weights.

Reflecting on his achievements, Coleman shared that his personal best was a staggering 500 lbs for five or six reps. Yet, even with his immense strength, Coleman acknowledged the rigorous preparation required to achieve such feats, especially considering the bench press’s reputation as one of the most challenging lifts. Coleman’s commentary not only celebrated Maddox’s incredible achievement but also offered insight into the mindset and challenges faced by elite powerlifters.
Coleman isn’t someone who is alien to weightlifting himself. Earlier, he had posted a compilation video on his YouTube channel that showed him lifting weights and breaking records while training.

In the video, Coleman was seen flexing his bold spirit, dominating hefty weights with jaw-dropping moves. He began with a powerful 315 lbs military press, setting the stage for an impressive display of strength. A staggering 540-corner row followed, highlighting not just muscle power but unwavering determination.
A mind-blowing 496 lbs bent-over row and a precise incline dumbbell bench press with 200 lbs in each hand came next, showcasing not only limb strength but also technical finesse. Coleman’s 200 lbs flat dumbbell bench for 12 reps left onlookers in disbelief, and a balanced 585 lbs front squat for four reps impressed with its rare blend of power and control.
