In 1994, Arnold Schwarzenegger had hit rock bottom mentally. Arnie had banked on the success of The Last Action Hero. He loved the script and the concept of the John McTiernan film. However, the 1993 film fell flat in theaters, unable to find its footing against the rampaging success of Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park. The commercial and critical flop affected Arnie’s mental health, and he sank into depression.

However, James Cameron came to the bodybuilding icon’s rescue in 1994. The Terminator director cast Arnie as the star of his big-budget spy thriller True Lies. In the film, Arnie shared the screen with Jamie Lee Curtis. Curtis played co-lead, as her character played a pivotal role. True Lies was a roaring success, earning $378 million at the box office. However, despite starring in a blockbuster together, it took the pair 29 years to reunite, and the fans can’t keep calm.
