Father of three, Chris Pratt, recently sat for an interview with Men’s Journal. The Hollywood star is riding high on the success of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, the conversation between the host and Pratt focused more on Pratt becoming a father and how it has affected his acting. Early in the interview, Men’s Journal talks about Pratt’s hit Amazon Prime series, The Terminal List. While discussing the series, the reporter asked the son-in-law of Arnold Schwarzenegger a personal question.
After congratulating Pratt on its success, Men’s Journal asked if playing a father who loses his family in The Terminal List “hits home for you as a father.” Pratt agreed, explaining how he felt and confessed to something he believes every father “secretly fantasizes.”

Chris Pratt could relate to his Terminal List character
The father of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s granddaughters revealed he “put a lot into” the show and loved the response he got. The 43-year-old confessed that season one had some of the toughest scenes he has done “acting-wise,” in his career. Pratt said a critic described the Amazon Prime show as an “unhinged revenge fantasy.” However, he didn’t mind the criticism.
“To be honest, that’s exactly what it is in a way,” said the MCU star. As a father of three, Pratt could imagine how his character felt unable to protect his family. “Whenever you’re put in a position, or even imagine a position, where those kids are in danger, your mind goes to wild places,” the 43-year-old told Men’s Journal.

He explained his belief that every father thinks about the worst-case scenario. According to the action star, a father also imagines what he would do if someone hurt their kids. They might deny thinking about it to their partner, but in the back of their head, fathers fantasize about revenge if someone dares to hurt their family.
While Pratts’s dark confession might or might not be true in every case, he remains a loving father and shares that trait with his father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Arnold Schwarzenegger never abandoned his children
In his latest Netflix docu-series, Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted to making many mistakes. His biggest mistake was cheating on Maria Shriver. However, the 75-year-old maintained a close relationship with his children. Shriver and Arnie taught their kids important life lessons, and even in their darkest hour, Schwarzenegger was present for them as a supportive father.

The bodybuilding icon also didn’t abandon his youngest son, Joseph Baena, who was born out of an extra-marital affair. Although the 25-year-old was born in not-so-favorable conditions, he still supported and inspired him, so he could flourish and carve his path. Similarly, Pratt also makes time for Jack, his son from his first marriage with Anna Faris. While many might disagree with Pratt, his protective fatherly instincts are undeniably strong.
