Bodybuilding icon William Bonac is defying age to stage a comeback worth witnessing. After reaching the highs of winning the Arnold Classic and finishing second in the 2019 Mr. Olympia, Bonac dropped to ninth in 2022. Yet, no sooner than the critics thought The Conqueror from Ghana had fallen, the bodybuilding icon lived up to his nickname winning the Empro Classic.

However, the 42-year-old has no plans of slowing down. Instead of taking some time off before jumping into his Olympia prep, the bodybuilder will compete at Mr. Big Evolution Pro. Bonac dropped a physique update with less than two weeks remaining until the show. However, he showed no signs of being depleted despite competing in Spain on June 15th.
Back-to-back contests are taxing as bodybuilders like Bonac take their bodies to the extreme on peak week. However, despite his age, Bonac looked fresh in his latest update. He didn’t just look shredded but also showcased fullness in his muscles. “No risk, no story!! Consistency is greater than perfection. 1.5 weeks out,” wrote the bodybuilding icon.

The three-time Arnold Classic winner’s comeback is especially impressive because he took an entire year off. After playing ninth at the Mr. Olympia, Bonac stepped back from the competition but vowed to come back stronger. Many thought Bonac would be unable to pull off a successful comeback, just like Big Ramy, who has been struggling to return to the top despite two Olympia titles.
Yet the bodybuilding icon’s shredded most muscular snaps and the 2024 Empro Classic title suggest otherwise. Bodybuilding fans also seem confident that The Conqueror will step on the Olympia stage with two titles this year.

Bodybuilding fans think William Bonac can shake up the Olympia
The top contenders of this year’s Olympia, including defending champion Derek Lunsford, are far younger than the 42-year-old. However, believe the Arnold Classic champ will surprise everyone. “You a different beast now. Jeez champ I know you going to cause some havoc at the Olympia,” wrote one fan. “The stats don’t lie you are one of the greats,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, others are looking forward to the veteran bodybuilder winning two titles within a month. “Ready for round two,” commented one fan. “No risk, no story. Agreed. God bless you. Faith is always bigger than fear,” commented fellow IFBB Pro Gretter Estrada. “It’s gonna be a huge battle between my two favorite bodybuilders. Bonac vs Nathan is a must-watch,” commented that fan. De Asha made waves after placing second to Behrooz Tabani at the 2024 Flex Weekend Pro. However, Bonac defeated Tabani at the Empro Classic.
The bodybuilding champion has already qualified for the 2024 Mr. Olympia. However, he still wants to compete and win at least another show before stepping on the Olympia stage. Do you think he’ll win again? Tell us in the comments.
