Notable UFC commentator, Joe Rogan, seems to be on a mission to call out rising steroid usage in the intersection of the athletic and entertainment industries. Besides that, he also intends to bust the pretentious bodybuilding standards that subject athletes to acute health risks and dilute the athletic spirit of the sphere.

In an episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan Experience, on YouTube, he discussed a range of related topics with popular YouTuber, Derek from More Plates More Dates. The two eventually talked about the reality behind the shredded builds on stage that most enthusiasts idolize, revealing the alarming aspects of it.

Promtly agreeing to the revelation, guest star Derek further pointed out the compromises these athletes have to make to look like that. “Going down to deathly low body fat levels, cutting water, doing all these things. It’s just like there’s nothing healthy about it,” he added. The young star hinted that the human body is never meant to achieve such a state.

Getting to the specifics, Rogan also shared that it is nearly impossible to “naturally” retain such body mass with these alarmingly low body fat levels. Hence, the YouTuber also chimed in, saying that athletes seem to be challenging all the mechanisms of biology and that the bodybuilding standards are “f*****”. Yet, Rogan mocked with a concerning realization, “Isn’t it interesting though that, that to people represents like the ultimate physique? …looking like you’re dying, that’s the ultimate physique.” A fact worth pondering upon, though. Similarly, the UFC commentator once called out another notable celebrity for imparting a fake influence recently.

Rogan once focused on the Hollywood star, popular for his Thor role in the MCU, Chris Hemsworth, and his shredded build. Rogan and Derek sat down to chat and reflect on the star’s bodybuilding potential. Initially, they talked about Aquaman star, Jason Momoa, speculating if he used PEDs for his impressive proportions.

Eventually, they gravitated towards the Australian actor, both agreeing that he was “a 100% sauced up,” for his role as the powerful god. They pondered over the stats that he gained over 20 pounds of mass within six months of time, a feat highly questionable. Hence, their conclusion on the enhanced build.
