Whether it is the most prestigious championship in the bodybuilding realm, The Mr. Olympia or the Arnold Classic, you will hear only one voice, that of Bob Cicherillo. The 58-year-old is often referred to as the “voice of bodybuilding.” However, despite being the voice of bodybuilding, there’s a fact about Cicherillo that many of you might know. 

The 58-year-old used to be a pro bodybuilder before becoming an announcer. Cicherillo recently posted a picture of him posing from at a bodybuilding show, on his Instagram account. Witnessing the post, fans tasted a bit of nostalgia. 

In the post, the 58-year-old seemed to be doing a pose showcasing his enormous biceps. Cicherillo’s wide-spread lats and small waist made his physique look perfect. The icon’s shoulders were shredded and supported his upper physique as well. Despite the photo being black and white, the abs of Cicherillo were easily noticeable. 

The host of the Arnold Classic captioned the post, “1989 USA. 23 years old,” highlighting how this was his first-ever bodybuilding pro show. He secured fourth place in the Rochester, New York, show in the teen-tall weight class. This was the start of the Olympia host’s career. He dedicated the next two decades of his life to bodybuilding and becoming a pro to compete on the IFBB stage.

The 58-year-old did succeed in becoming a pro bodybuilder and made his first appearance on the IFBB stage back in 2002. Cicherillo competed with legends like Ronnie Coleman, Dexter Jackson, Kevin Levrone, Flex Wheeler, and many more at the 2002 Mr. Olympia. He even made his appearance on the Arnold Classic stage in 2004. After getting a glimpse of Cicherillo’s peak physique, fans went crazy in the comments.

A fan of the host of Mr. Olympia commented on how he looks flawless despite his age and wrote, “Looking great Bob! Nowadays looks same Nothing Changed.” Another bodybuilding enthusiast commented on the host of Arnold Classic’s post and wrote, “Glad that I was able to help my brother achieve his dream. See you this evening.” Another fan reminisced about the time when the photo was taken and wrote, “I remember that…Rochester NY.”

A bodybuilding enthusiast walked down memory lane and recalled all the moments he witnessed and commented., “Good ole days.” An Instagram user commented on the physique of the host of Mr. Olympia and wrote, “Great physique and so handsome!!”
