But when it comes to the legendary showdown between Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler, it’s hard to find a more intense and iconic feud. These two superstars dominated the bodybuilding stage, pushing each other to their limits, and ultimately becoming living legends. While there are many iconic moments captured during the intense rivalry, recently a hilarious throwback picture has resurfaced reminding fans of the camaraderie and humor that existed between these two formidable competitors. The picture was shared by none other than Jay Cutler himself.

The 4x Mr. Olympia champion has grabbed the eyeballs of the fitness community including his greatest rival Ronnie Coleman with his latest Instagram post. Cutler’s post takes fans back to the heydays of the two superstars. 

The picture brought out the funny side of Cutler-Coleman’s rivalry

Cutler took to his Instagram account and posted a throwback picture of him sharing the stage with The King. The image captured a moment from 2005 or 2006 when both Coleman and Cutler were guests posing together. This was 2005/06 when @ronniecoleman8 and I would guest pose week after a week together before the hype of social media”, Cutler wrote in the caption.

In an apparent departure from their usual chiseled physiques, both bodybuilders appeared out of shape, adding an element of humor to the photograph. However, the picture also grabbed Coleman’s attention as he expressed his embarrassment and revealed the story behind their lack of conditioning. We are both out of shape and we both look horrible. It’s all good though. That’s what the off-season was for, to be off, sometimes way off”, Coleman commented as he was weighing more than 300lbs in the picture.

What made the picture even more amusing was Coleman’s choice of attire, donning black goggles and boots while showcasing his posing routine. The contrast between their usual flawless appearances and this momentary lapse showcased a lighter side of the intense rivalry between Coleman and Cutler. However, the two legendary stars have been vocal about their fierce rivalry during the competition.

Ronnie Coleman gives two letter word to their rivalry

Ronnie Coleman dominated the Mr. Olympia stage for 8 years. However, it was only the heroics of Cutler that finally dethrone him and broke his streak. Even The King acknowledged the fact that Cutler was his biggest competitor and it often motivated him to push his limits. Coleman once took to his Instagram and gave a Two-word title to his rivalry with Cutler.

“My boy [Jay Cutler] & I have one of the Greatest Rivalries to ever hit the Olympia stage!! Comment below your Top Two at this years, Mr. Olympia… Yeah, Buddy!!”, he wrote in the caption. The hilarious throwback picture serves as a reminder that even the most formidable rivals can share moments of lightheartedness and friendship. The legacy of their rivalry will forever remain intact.
