He often shares pictures and videos of his pet animals, spending time with them, feeding them and even playing with them. Even during one of his video call meetings, Lulu came over, and instead of shushing him away, Arnie started feeding Lulu a cookie.

While talking about his love for animals, he recently unveiled an interesting story about his donkey Lulu and horse whiskey. The mini horse was not his; it belonged to his firstborn daughter Katherine. However, she lost interest in taking care of the pet, so Arnie brought it to his place and began spending time with it.

His Girlfriend gifted him a donkey

He opened up about this amazing story during an interview with Rob Lowe. “So, my girlfriend Heather she uh gave me for Christmas four years ago the donkey,” said Schwarzenegger. At first, when he heard that his girlfriend was giving him a donkey as a present on Christmas he got annoyed, but then he saw his pets mingling just a moment after Lulu arrived at his home. Lulu has since become a significant part of Arnie’s life.

Arnold met his current girlfriend, Heather Milligan in 2012. Milligan is a professional physical therapist who helped in the treatment of his shoulder injury. They began dating in 2013, though it was initially kept secret. Over time, the Austrian Oak became more open about their relationship. Interestingly, they share similar interests, with Heather having a competitive background as a gymnast. She also has a deep affection for his children. She also has a fondness for animals, hence gifting her boyfriend a donkey on Christmas.

The former bodybuilder loves to showcase his animals on social media, and whenever he adopts a new member, he introduces them to the world. He adopted his dog Dutch in  2020 during the pandemic and named him after his character in the movie Predator. Later, in 2022, he brought Schnitzel into the family. In one of his posts, he wrote, “It’s time to introduce the new member of the family to you. I got her for Christmas! Her name is Schnitzel, after my favorite Austrian dish and my own nickname.” His pets share a strong bond with each other.

Lulu promoting fitness goals

He even made Lulu a fitness influencer to inspire people. The five-time Mr. Universe uploaded a video featuring three of his pets: Lulu, Whiskey, and one of his huskies. However, Lulu became the star of the video as her antics helped the former bodybuilding champion promote his newsletter.

In the video, Lulu began jumping and kicking the air with her hind legs before darting away. Schwarzenegger’s two other four-legged friends seemed startled by Lulu’s sudden outburst of energy. The huskie tried to chase after Lulu but lost its balance and fell. However, Whiskey didn’t seem excited at all.
