Arnold Schwarzenegger has had a long career in the movie business, and on his path to success, the Austrian Oak has also established close friendships. The bodybuilding icon is a cherished father and kindred spirit for many colleagues. The range of emotional maturity that Arnie has shown in dealing with relationships reflects his moral fiber. Moreover, the 7x Mr. Olympia has old-school ways of dealing with relationships and technology. Once his eldest son revealed that Arnie does not use a cell phone; however, Tom Arnold, a True Lies co-star of the aesthetic bodybuilder, divulged details about a technology Arnie is fond of.

Comedy King Tom Arnold not only shares a name with the ex-Governor of California, but he is also a dear pal, a bond that developed during the 1994 hit action thriller. Earlier, in an interview with Fox News Digital, the ‘Big Bully’ actor opened up about his stroke in January 2022, which jolted him to take fitness seriously. Furthermore, he spoke at length about his relationship, highlighting an endearing detail about the Austrian Oak.

Tom started taking his health seriously when the doctor informed the standup hero about his mild stroke. The health scare triggered the movie actor into action. The “McHale’s Navy” star enlisted the help of Charles D’Angelo, who also trained the ex-Governor. Moreover, Tom and Schwarzenegger have an enduring friendship that has stood the test of time. It was not a surprise that the fitness icon would rush to help his friend in troubled times. Furthermore, the duo presented the world with a memorable hero-sidekick pairing in True Lies. The veterans sprinkled similar magic on television by collaborating on the Netflix series ‘FUBAR.’ But this time, Tom played an old friend and information extractor named Norm Carlson.

Additionally, while reminiscing about filming the Netflix series, Tom disclosed the FaceTime habits of the bodybuilder. He stated that Arnie is “so into his iPad. Like, you wouldn’t think that. Like, he’ll send over pictures, and he’ll draw [on] them, ‘I love you, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Happy whatever,’ and he spends a lot of time doing that.” Even Patrick Schwarzenegger once attested to the Predator’s love for Face timing back in 2022. Shockingly, not much has changed.

Schwarzenegger still has his old mobile from the past

Appearing in an interview, the 29-year-old son divulged his dad’s aversion to telephones. The ‘Midnight Sun’ actor was asked who among his parents messaged him more. On hearing the question, Patrick quipped, “My dad doesn’t have a phone. He refuses to text. He only uses his iPad and FaceTime.”

Furthermore, the son added, “He still has his first phone he could ever afford the flip, and he still uses it in the car. He’s got these speed dials memorized. He doesn’t have anything else.” The Schwarzenegger kid jokingly said his father’s thumbs might be too big for a smartphone. Although Arnie has lived a smartphone-free life, the philanthropist works closely with the youth to highlight the ill effects of phone addiction. Moreover, he suggests ways and means to break free from technological enslavement.
