The level of perfection and conditioning he had between each rep was truly commendable. It looked as if the set truly was a cakewalk for him. Starting from the right amount of force exerted to pull the bar to the perfect stop time to let the muscle engage, Yates’s technique was flawless. In the caption, he added, “If it was a seated cable row then I’d use either a wide grip or close grip, that hasn’t changed.”

He went on to explain why he uses a close grip for seated rows and stated that they prevent injuries. At the age of 61, his goal no longer is to bulk up his body, rather, his plan is that of retention. The legend wrote, “My job these days is to just maintain a certain level of muscle and strength as I age💪🙏”. Well, this little snippet was enough to let the fitness community go gaga over his dedication.
