In the exclusive Entertainment Tonight post, Schwarzenegger exuberantly confronted Lowe. “Let the story be told that since I got divorced from Maria, you haven’t been around much,” Arnie said in the clip. While Lowe paused for a moment, he joked that after the couple split in 2011, Maria Shriver got “custody.” Schwarzenegger explained further.
“You wanted to prove to her that you’re loyal to her and not to me,” the fitness icon said during Lowe’s podcast, Literally! The bodybuilding icon said Lowe was one of their good friends and often visited the couple before their split. Schwarzenegger playfully teased Lowe, saying he didn’t recall their other friends picking sides. “But I mean, you did,” Arnie said.

The Hollywood icon recounted asking Shriver, “Why is Rob not showing up?” The pair shared a laugh, and Schwarzenegger ended the clip by hoping the Parks and Recreations actor wouldn’t need a podcast to meet with him. “I can hang out with Arnold again, and Maria’s not gonna decapitate me,” joked the 76-year-old. During his Netflix documentary, Arnold Schwarzenegger opened up about the split from his wife, with whom he was married for 25 years. The couple were together for nearly a decade before marrying in 1986. They share four children, and everything seemed alright on the surface. However, in 2011, a massive scandal nearly tore their family apart.
After rumors of a rift between the couple, it soon came to light that the former governor had fathered another son after an affair with his housekeeper. Shriver filed for divorce and the couple split. However, the parents didn’t let their separation harm their kids. In fact, they still get together for their children. “If there’s Oscars for how to handle divorce, Maria and I should get it,” Arnie said in his Netflix docu-series.
