Arnold Schwarzenegger suggests that people need to buy dumbbells

In the latest edition of his newsletter, he started talking about improving mobility and flexibility which would need some dumbbells. He also gives examples of research that suggests that resistance training is very effective and even more effective than traditional stretching to improve flexibility.

He also said, “The idea of being “too muscle-bound” is a myth that could hold you back. Resistance training improves your mobility and flexibility by forcing you to move a weight through the end ranges of motion.”

According to the Austrian Oak, resistance training forces the muscles of the body along with the tendons and ligaments to work together and move the weight. He added, “Add it all up, and a little strength training is medicine for your aching body and can reduce the likelihood of injury and pain. You just need to focus on doing movements correctly.” Schwarzenegger also declared that he does not stretch before he starts his exercise.

When he was asked during Q and A and a session whether he stretches before a workout, he declared that he doesn’t. “I don’t stretch before I train. I prefer light warm-up sets. After I train, I normally stretch but just basic things. I touch my toes, I put my foot on a machine for more hamstring stretch,” he declared.

Even at 75, he does not fail to go to the gym and work out. However, he cannot deny the toll that his body had taken after several heart surgeries. But despite all that, his flexibility is impressive.
