Contrary to expectations, former cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Glowacki has managed to achieve a victory on his debut in MMA. The event took place at KSW 83: Colosseum 2 MMA event Saturday at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland. Glowacki went toe-to-toe against Patryk Tolkaczewski and managed to turn the table in a movie-like fashion. The victory shocked the Boxing and MMA world as moments prior it looked like ‘Glowka’ was facing an impending defeat.

Glowacki has been the WBO cruiserweight champion twice, however, he recently left boxing after his defeat against the British boxer, Richard Riakporhe. Toward the end of his career, the Polish fighter struggled to maintain his winning streak. Moreover, he lost 3 out of his last 4 fights, which raised a lot of eyebrows. However, with this victory, he has managed to turn not just the match around but public opinion of him as well.

Boxing commentator Micheal Benson shared the video of the event on his Twitter account. In the video, Tolkaczewski could be seen launching a relentless assault. The 36 years old found himself in an unfavorable situation as he tried to shield himself from taking damage. However, at the moment when all hope seemed lost, Glowacki made a comeback that shook the boxing and MMA world alike. Glowacki showed his impressive might that helped him become the WBO cruiserweight champion twice. He delivered a powerful left hand that knocked the light out of Tolkaczewski.

After the shocking victory which even he must have found unbelievable, Glowacki celebrated by running around the octagon. This marks his first foray into MMA. Moreover, this is his first victory after his last loss against Riakporhe. Previously as Benson mentioned in his Tweet, Glowacki has lost to Oleksandr Usyk too. Fans also felt overwhelmed by the results. What’s more, they chose this occasion to call out people who previously said that boxing is useless in boxing.
